1. Booking and payment policy

After providing the requested amount of fees, the student will be assigned a tutor. Payments may be made by bank transfer, credit/debit card or PayPal and must be received in full prior to the course start date. In case of a bank transfer, we may ask for a deposit receipt as sometimes there is a delay in the transfer between bank. Please note that you will not be allowed to attend any courses unless the payment of fees has been made in full, or on the requested date. Failure to pay will result in the cancellation of your course and any other services attached to it. Bank details are provided on the invoice or on a simple request. Payment must include any additional charges such as fees, taxes or interest charged by the student’s bank or credit card company. Purchased lessons are valid for 6 months and cannot be transferred to another person.

For international bank transfers, please cover all bank charges. It is important that when making payments to us, you consult your bank with regard to any charges in your country that may be applicable. We will not cover the bank charges from your country.

2. Cancellation and refunds

Online lessons will be scheduled subject to teacher availability. You may cancel or reschedule a lesson at least 24 hours before the lesson begins without charge. Cancellation after 24 hours will be charged and the lesson lost. Teachers are able to make exceptions if they wish, however they are under no obligation to do so.

For groups: In case one of the students cancels the lesson but the other one attends it, the hour will be charged as usual and no extra private lesson will be provided for the student who missed the lesson.

Any refund will usually be paid using the same method you used to pay for our services. Requests for refunds will normally be processed within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of the request. Please note that the student will be responsible for any bank charges/handling fees in processing the refund. Fees and/or courses are not transferable to other students. Any refunds that are approved at our discretion will be calculated on the original price of the course as advertised on our price list and will not be at the offer price, if booked during an offer.

3. Referral programme

You can receive 3 private one-on one classes for each new student you refer to LinguaTerra.

4. Language Tutors - Compliance with Booking Procedure

All our language tutors agree not to engage in or promote any activity to arrange lessons with a language student outside LinguaTerra. This action is prohibited under our terms and conditions of service and undermines the trust, security, and legitimacy of LinguaTerra.

Action specifically not permitted includes:

Communication via email or any other means to schedule and arrange a lesson with a language student in a way that is intended to avoid the payment to LinguaTerra.

Failure of a registered tutor to adhere to these terms and conditions and in particular any action taken by a registered tutor to privately arrange a lesson with a registered LinguaTerra student, avoiding to provide the booking fee to the LinguaTerra website, may result in the termination of the cooperation.
